The programme is funded under the Zoonoses and Emerging Livestock Systems (ZELS) initiative between the UK Department for International Development, the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, Economic and Social Research Council, Natural Environment Research Council and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory.
